About Us

The Missoula Footbag Alliance was formed by Evan Lovely in January 2003 and the initial charter members are Ben Little, Jeremiah Bechard-Somberg, Ty Grogan, and Jacki Henning Grogan. It was initially formed as a University of Montana Student Group as a way to get the players a consistent indoor training and playing area for the winter months. However, it has grown to host many after school Flagship programs to help kids learn how to play and to encourage non-competitive sports. The group has gone to a lot of regional and international tournaments, namely the Seattle Juggling and Footbag Festival, the Colorado Shred Symposium, and even the World Footbag Championships. We started and host the Montana Freestyle Jam, an annual event going on it's 6th year that brings together many kinds of freestyles in one place: breakdancers, jugglers, footbaggers, and fire artists. The group performs demos and workshops for anybody interested: schools, shows, and any kind of group looking for something a little different with a lot of energy. Contact us if you are curious about a demonstration of freestyle footbag.
